Or we can send you a secure link to pay online. We'll schedule your flight for the first available opportunity that is convenient for you. All passengers must book in advance. If you need to amend your confirmed booking, please give us as much notice as possible, preferably 10 days' notice.

When you can fly

March/April to October and standby slots – our busiest days are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the flying season. We also offer a standby option for the rest of the year. If you take up a standby option we'll call you at short notice (possibly the same day) if the weather and flying conditions are favourable to get you flying. We'll discuss this option with you when you call us to book.

Flying conditions

Flights are weather dependent – we can’t stress that enough. If we do need to reschedule your introductory flight due to unsuitable flying conditions, we will contact you asap to re-arrange another date and time for your flight. Please refer to the terms and conditions issued with your booking confirmation.

Flight times

The stated flight times (30, 45 and 60 minutes) are how long you will be in the air. The time stated on our confirmation email is your arrival time rather than your flight departure time. We have allowed sufficient time for you to complete the required paperwork and safety briefing. Please let us know if you are running late. Please refer to the terms and conditions issued with your booking confirmation for our cancellation policy and no show fees.

Transferring flight

If you have paid for and booked a flight but can no longer fly, you can transfer your flight to a friend or family member. Please refer to the terms and conditions issued with your booking confirmation for our cancellation policy and no show fees.

Health conditions

Passengers must be mobile enough to get in and out of the aircraft and be medically fit to fly. It is up to the passenger to ensure they are fit to fly as we are not medically qualified to give an opinion. We will do our utmost to fly passengers with disabilities/reduced mobility as long as they will not compromise safety. The pilot has the final decision.

Restrictions

All passengers must be over 14 years old.

Maximum weight is 18 stone.

There are no height restrictions.

All passengers must sign a declaration before flying.

What to wear

Please wear sensible clothes and flat, enclosed footwear.  We have flight suits, jackets, hats and goggles for your comfort. We'll ask you to leave all loose items at the hangar which are left at your own risk.

Spectators

You are welcome to bring your family and friends with you to cheer you as you take off and land. Spectators must remember they are on a live airfield and must only go where directed by the Tiger Flights crew and airfield staff.

Location

All flights are operated from Eshott Airfield, NE65 9QJ, which is just off the A1. Look for the Bockenfield Holiday Park sign, this is the turnoff for the airfield. Parking is available. There is a lovely café offering light snacks and refreshments and viewing area on site. The airfield is dog friendly, but all dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times.
