Our Training Approach

We’re the only aviation specialist in the north of England offering flight training in a de Havilland Tiger Moth for aspiring and experienced pilots.

Our instructors provide training for a wide range of needs from private pilot licence and tailwheel differences to Tiger Moth conversion and formation flying.

Our training is tailored to suit your requirements and our approach focuses on the heritage of elementary flight training. We believe this makes you a more capable, confident pilot.

All courses take place at our training facility based at Eshott Airfield, NE65 9QJ.

Once you’ve progressed through our courses, you’ll have the opportunity to join The Tiger Flight, giving you unique access to self-fly hire our Tiger Moths.

Regardless of your training requirements, we look forward to welcoming you to Tiger Flights. The kettle is always on and there’s usually a biscuit or two to be had.
